145 miles done today. 2706 miles completed, 419 more to do in 10 days. I'm not counting the chickens yet.
I rode on my own today, listening to the radio. If anyone wants to know more about boarding cards and VAT, then contact me. I've listened to the descriptions of this issue about 30 times. I also got a bit agitated by a poor description of wireless charging. I wonder what a nearby cyclist thought when I shouted "ELECTROMAGNETISM!!" at my non-visible radio.
Thanks to Ewan in Twelve50 Bikes in Frodsham, and friends Andy and Lynne in Knutsford for signing my log book. Also big thanks to Andy for being on call whilst Super Domestique is unavailable.
I'm a bit concerned. Anyone remember The Triffids?
Lastly:
Buttock News
Issue 3
White shorts
today, aka "Happy Shorts". Discomfort level 3 out of 10 in the morning, 1 out of 10 in the afternoon (strangely).
End of Buttock News
Hi Janet, thanks for writing such an interesting blog! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it this morning during a (rare) lie-in. I know that everybody else is enjoying it too - 'buttock news' came up in conversation with Paul, Caroline and Richard at the weekend. I'm delighted that you are making such good progress! You are well within reach of exceeding your planned distance. Well done and keep on pedalling! I'm off to Oz this evening but have bought a nice new tablet which will help with keeping in touch! Lots of love to you and super domestique! Olivia xxx
